The Volaertus visuals and narrative experience were entirely created by myself. 2D visuals include the Volaertus branding (logo, challenge coin, and mission select screens, the composition of the in game renders, etc. The 3D is a mix of my own modeling and kitbashing of existing models. The ship and environment design are entirely original.

Attraction Exterior

You'll first enter into the lobby where you will check in for your flight time.
Once everyone in your flight crew is ready to go, you'll head to the locker room and suit up in your flight gear

After all the reserves are suited up and ready for flying, they will each be given a Challenge Coin as they enter the briefing room.
Here they will plan their course of action. With the help of the Mission Briefing Officers, the reserves will choose from different mission presets with the opportunity to customize them to their wants, including level difficulty for example.
Once the reserves have finished planning, they will place their coins around the briefing tables to sync the mission plans to the RFID chips embedded within their coins.

Challenge Coin given to the reserves.
This coin is the key to all guest information. They use it within the attraction not only to transfer their mission plans, but to also store and access their data from their visit. The guests keep their Challenge Coins and can bring them back for their next visit allowing them to continue the same mission if they want. The coins also keeps track of their mission stats which encourages them to play more to improve their skills.

This is the mission difficulty slider which guests will use in the planning stage. There is a range of difficulty from beginner level to expert level. Each level has a name to encourage guests to move up the ranks.
After the missions are planned and synced to the Challenge Coins, the reserves will move on to the central elevators where they will be transported to the flight decks
Central Elevators
The elevators are real functional elevators that are enhanced with themed screens. These screens act as port holes to show the battle raging on outside the Volaertus that the reserves are soon to join.
Each flight deck is laid out the same way with guest facing levels on the odd floor numbers and the structures for the simulators on the even floor numbers. So flight deck one is on the third floor and flight deck two is on the fifth floor. The only difference with the flight decks are the size and quantity of the flight simulators.
The filled in black hallways are the themed guest facing corridors while the outlined hallways are for employees or egress to restrooms and stairwells.
Above are 3D representations of the guest facing floor plans or odd numbered floors.
Once you arrive at your designated flight deck, you and your crew will travel down the corresponding corridors to your assigned ship bay.

Flight Deck Corridors Rendering

In every ship bay, there are consoles directly across from the airlock doors. These consoles are where the reserves will place their Challenge Coins to upload their mission plans.

Ship Bay Rendering

After the mission plans are uploaded to the ship bay consoles, each reserve will enter through their airlock doors and board their ship.
They will then be guided through a preflight check which will teach the reserves the ship controls.
Once the preflight check is passed, the ship controls will be surrendered to the reserves. They will then join the battle and execute their mission plans.

As the reserves complete their mission or the allotted time runs out, they will exit their ships back into the ship bay and can either select to continue the current mission or plan a new one at their consoles.
All they have to do is upload their missions again and it is back to their ships to continue playing.
After the reserves flight time is up, they will exit the same way they entered and travel back down the central elevators to the first level.
The reserves will exit the elevators into a second locker room where they will dispose of their pull over flight gear.
